Performance Objectives:

At the end of the first module, faculty members will be able to:
- Download and view the Tango app.
- Define the Tango app and discuss its importance as an instructional tool that can be used in or outside the classroom.
- Create group discussions by using the Tango app.
- Demonstrate the Tango app by chatting with their students.
 

Standards:

- Standard 1: Evaluate and use the Tango app to support and facilitate the learning process.
- Standard 2: Design and develop student learning activities that involve using communication skills.

What is the Tango app?

         According to Apple store, Tango is one of the most powerful communication apps that allows people to connect with friends and family or make new friends easily. Also, there are over than 130M people around the world using Tango. This app received several awards such as Best Communication App - 2013 Apple Inc. Awards and Best Texting App - 2013 About.com Reader's Choice Awards.

After watching the video tutorials, faculty members should do the following:
- download Tango on you smart device.
- Review it.
- Apply what you learned from the "How to create group discussions" tutorial with your current students.

Discussion/self-introduction

The trainer will create a group discussion by using Tango, where the faculty members will post their self-introduction and sharing their opinions about using the Tango app as an instructional tool that can be used in or outside the classroom.  In addition, the trainer will post some feedback in the group as needed.

- Post one reflective point, and respond to one faculty members' comments.
- Add outsource to support your reflective points.
